I awake as an ancestor.  here in the beginning of all things.

the dryad is a tree nymph or woodland spirit.  shy and rarely seen she is bound to her forest and can only be conjured with appropriate offerings.  only then is this ghostly divine figure revealed.

the tie that binds - new self portrait work up!

went out the other day to shoot a selfie and everything was so muddy from the days and days of rain we've been having that I couldn't find a suitable spot and had to adapt my original concept in order to create something from this outing.  I think I can do this better so I may get a model and try again when it dries out a bit.   :)

the first snowfall of the year happened her over last weekend.  it was cold but made for beautiful background shots.  I was able to find a nice spot to pop in a subject and I was inspired to add the red powder in the snow from this image by Kirsty Mitchell.
