Ondine was a free spirited water nymph so it was no surprise when she fell in love with a mortal man and went to live with him on the land. she was very happy and took many long baths in the large tub upstairs to feel the comforts of her watery home again. until the moment her mother came to her disguised as a trout to tell her what becomes of all water nymphs should they fall in love and bear a child to a mortal man. I'll be granted a soul mama she said happily. it's true her mother said, you'll gain a soul but you'll also loose your beauty and grow old from that moment on young girl!
Ondine was deeply frightened and could only cling to herself trying to choose between everlasting beauty and love...
this is also from the Brooke Shaden workshop I attended in June. so much fun creating worlds~ :D
happy tuesday, it's freaking 74 degrees right now so I'm gonna go be an ondine and lay by the pool. cheers!
