had a shoot on saturday morning with a new model. we had a beautiful morning and the beach mostly to ourselves. I loved this shot of her flipping around in the water like she didnt have a care in the world. and yes, I named this after a dixie chicks song. seemed fitting. ;)

I thought I'd try shooting some still life. I dunno, I thought it might be a good excercise for me. I'm not sure how I did exactly but I do like this image of a dead butterfly in a perfume bottle.

this little butterfly used to sit on the branches of an orange tree that was just outside my bedroom window when I lived in florida. I noticed him on the same branch for a few days and when I went out to check on him, he fell off the branch. dead. so sad. so I scooped him up and put him inside of this old perfume bottle I had. now he is immortalized under glass. and in my photography. :)

I've had this cute dress for a while and I've been meaning to use it with a vintage circus theme but aquiring all the needed props and fleshing out the wardrobe means it's been put on the back burner but the characters, especially this first one, the animal tamer, are still on my mind so I figured that I even though I want to shoot this with a model I may as well try it out myself. :) look for this theme again once I gather everything I need...
