holy crap I finally freaking finished this thing!!
man, what a year it's been. so many crazy ups and downs and throughout it all a photograph a day to document it all. sure, there were a few times I posted something late or from a different day but I gave myself a few outs when I started this so I wouldn't give up the challenge. all in all I'm very pleased with myself. :)

comtemplation of this last year. so much has happened for me personally as well as photography wise too. I've had an article and interview published, self published a book, become a getty images artist as well as made money of my art through society6. when I think back on all I've accomplished this year it amazes me. I only hope 2012 will bring twice as much fun and the chance for me to become an artist full time.
thank you so, so much to everyone who has ever looked at one of my photos. thank you to all my friends and supporters for helping me along this past year. this challenge was very hard for me towards the end and I'm so thankful to have you all who look and and comment on my images. we've gotten to know each other and become friends over this past year and I hope we'll continue that.
I will be taking a much deserved vacation from flickr for the next couple of weeks. I'll still be around, looking at all your streams, in fact I'm hoping to be a better flickr friend now that my 365 is complete. so I'll be around just taking a short break from shooting until I am utterly compelled to crete insted of forced to every night.
to those of you thinking of starting a 365, go for it! just make it something you know you can stick with for a whole year. your 365 can be anyway you design it. :)
crikey, I've been working on this image for the last 4 hours. I've finished my 365 and it's New Years Eve! I'm going to have a glass of bubbly and toast myself. won't you join me?

so close to the end of my 365!!!! :D
so today I checked out some thrift shops and for fun and found the best photo props! this globe being one of them. there are more treasures I found and I posted some snaps of them on my facebook page.

I'm enjoying the hell of of my vacation so far. tomorrow, photo adventure!! gotta go pick out a prop dress....

Len and I went to my sisters place for Christmas Eve this year. a bit different than our normal routine but it was pretty nice. they had an open house with plenty of food and drink and the house was all decorated beautifully like my sis always does. very merry indeed. :)

52 of 52 - after the storm

this is the last of my 52!!!
it only took me about a year and a half too. ;) this image is a companion piece to this one. I'm still a bit unsure on the colors in this and may tweak it further but I liked how this second piece shows that the girl survived the storm of the first image.
in a few hours I'll be going downtown to meet a friend and have delicious, delicious chinese food. ummmm... traditions.
ah, vacation time is awesome. :D

today I took photos for my friend Shannon who owns a kettelbell studio. it was an interesting challenge for both of us. here she is trying to slow down her routine for me with these heavy weights, but we got some great shots and when the weather is a little better we'll head out and get some more. :)

had a sort of crappy day today. wasn't really in the mood to snap a pic. I dunno, this time of year is just hard for me and I can get pretty low. I wasn't even good at my job today. plus I have to come up with $2000 for a sepcial assessment from my HOA so that totally kills christmas and then some. :-S
