I miss-titled some of my images in this set and when I tried to fix it, it went all wonky so I said screw it. the number of photos in my 365 set is correct even if the titles aren't. anyways, I just liked this cute little tomato box and wanted to do something with it. Chai decided to model for me as well.

I'm getting ready for halloween, are you?
gosh, it's only wednesday and I'm so tired already. I'm sorry I've been such a lame flickr friend lately. things have been busy at work and I've had a few personal things to take care of as well. some wonderful & exciting things are happening for me photography wise too, which is amazing but also adds extra work every evening on top of this 365 so I always feel like I'm playing catch up each night. forgive me. had an awesome day of photo-adventuring withmy flickr bud Brooke yesterday. we covered a lot of ground. from discovery to volunteer and even the cemetery next door. this shot is from the dahlia patch at volunteer park. we topped the afternoon off with piping hot bowls of thai food. NOM!

an apple a day keeps the doctor away
took a sick day today. wasn't up to my usual snuff. I did however take Chai on a long walk all the way around to the other side of the lake and then I walked to the grocery and bought some juice and cereal and cheese n' stuff. it felt good to have the fresh fall air in my face. on that note, a list of things I am excited to photograph this fall: autumn leaves, rolling skies, foggy mornings, spider webs covered in dew and my dog in a pumpkin patch. :)

my divine nature
this is my new favorite photo prop. I found it on the ground while walking my dog in the park and now it's my divining rod. :) I realize I'm holding it incorrectly here but to be honest the photo looked funny holding it the other way. besides maybe this is how one holds a divining rod when not necessarily searching for water but more standing in one place and waiting on a choice to arrive. will it be this way or that? which fork of the road shall I take? maybe...
funny story. my gandmother on my fathers side was apparently a very good dowser. she found water for many times. she also taught my father how to read tea leaves who in turn taught my mother who taught me. my pops was always the best at it of any of us though.

my piece in Strongbox Magazine
hi everybody! I know I posted a link inside a couple of my 365 posts about this but I figured I'd officially post it here on my blog as well.
I wrote an article and provided photos on how to build a fashion photography portfolio without spending much money for the Fall issue of Strongbox Magazine.
