I've decided to make some of my images available for print through Society6.  I like the site, it's got a good layout and a lot of great artists too.  I hope it will provide me a bridge for getting my art into people's hands.  so far I have offered 4 images and surprise surprise one them has been chosen to be included in the Society6 Shop!  pretty cool.  hoping that means I'm off to a roaring start. :)

so I saw an advert for the bellevue art fair and was inspired by a painting I saw of a woman with an owl on her head. I looked a bit for a prop and them remembered I had a photo of one from my last zoo visit. so I stuck him in. I also found this awesome dress at buffalo exchange today. :)
as I type this my dog is curled up in his dog bed and he looks so cute~

her ghosts

yesterday I went home after work and installed PS CS5, waxed my legs, showered and washed my hair, ate a bunch of cookies and watched some tele. then I tried to take a selfie and they were all crap. too late to go outside because it was dark by then and I was starting to get irritated not being able to produce anything good so I decided to give myself the night off. :) I edited 2 more photos of this girl instead and I'm using one for my 365 because I don't wanna be behind again and I freakin' felt like it. it's a cheat to be sure but it's alright because I've formed a committee to investigate the validity of my cheat and I am the sole member of said committee. please be quite while the committee conviens. ……………………. I have decided the cheat is valid. The photo will stand as 208 | 365. :) phew~

I imagine her older sister putting her in a pretty dress too big for her and teaching her how to act casual when he comes by. "now just hold these flowers and try not to be nervous." I took this selfie at a MadArt mad house in seattle today. dig it, there's a collection of 4 houses that have been modified, shall I say, and on display to the public until they are torn down and made new or something. this particular house has been tied together both to it's own self and the house next door which still has a resident actually. each house is different and I got some great shots before my battery died. I will edit and share very soon.
really like to go back there again...

this is my third image from the Brooke Shaden workshop I attended last month. oddly enough this is the first one I started to edit and when I was finished I even liked it but I learned a lot working on the other two so I wanted to try this one again. I like this but it needs something. some feathers floating perhaps. think I'll have to try something like this again. :)

I finally found a way to use the antlers paul lent me. photoshop them in! I was going for a deer pausing to hear a noise, sniff the wind, sense any danger. I dunno. not sure if I like it. maybe it'll grow on me.

I'll be granted a soul mama she said happily. it's true her mother said, you'll gain a soul but you'll also loose your beauty and grow old from that moment on young girl!

Ondine was deeply frightened and could only cling to herself trying to choose between everlasting beauty and love...

here's a snap from the workshop I attended the other week. I love this photo so much. how the focus is on the drapes, how the model is facing away from the window and of course the killer hairflip! plus that horrible crane out the window sort of reminds me of the eiffel tower or something. :)

this is my first edit from the Brooke Shaden workshop I attended last week. yup, I sure never made anything like this before! :) hell, I'd never used photoshop before so all in all I think I did pretty well even though every time I look at it I see something else I shoud've done or whatever.
the workshop was a blast and it was so fun to meet other photogs from around the area. and look, we got to photograph the lovely O too. Brooke is so sweet and super helpful, going over her process and making sure everyone got the shots and the help they needed. I think she's currently looking for other cities to bring her workshop to so go ask her to come to your town!
